However, our work can also be more local, such as carrying out FMEA proving trials a two-hours drive from our premises or attending a project meeting within walking distance in Ulsteinvik. The needs varies and our staff are prepared to meet our customers’ expectations.

As an independent company with uncompromising integrity and professionalism, we can carry out third party DP FMEAs as well as other third party consultancies and services. As one of the leading companies for DP FMEAs, Sebastian has a high focus on safe and reliable vessel operations, taking into consideration redundancies, all kinds of failures, including common and hidden failures, as well as possible inadvertent acts, which can cause loss of position control for offshore installations or ships. Sebastian can also carry out an FMECA (Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis), which involves the criticality aspect of a system component failure. To obtain the full benefit of an FMEA, it may be cost efficient to prepare a preliminary FMEA early in the design phase, and to check all systems for redundancy and separation before starting the final FMEA development, which is to be based on final documentation. This will avoid costly rebuilding of systems and equipment later in the building process.

• Sebastian DPP can be used by fleet and vessel managers and even client’s operational department to have a platform where they can have an overview of all the vessels/ rigs in their fleet
• Test window – On the dashboard, the individual vessels/ rigs are listed with status of testing
• The DP Portal gives the company an easy system to use for following up findings and get them closed so the test report can be updated

Sebastian DPP can be used with a combination of attended and unattended testing by Sebastian AS auditors and vessel crew.

• DP Portal can also be used for other vendors DP documentation. DP documentation will be uploaded to Sebastian DPP for the vessel management to have a common platform to keep track of their fleets DP status
